Be found. Be chosen.
We build the storefront & user experience in between.
A shopper may ask an AI answer engine what to buy before ever reaching your product page. Photography persuades. The catalog is what it reads. We build both — then keep the storefront, catalog and growth accountable to the same commercial number.
This practice builds and grows consumer brands. If your sale runs through a committee instead, the B2B practice is next door.
“They had the resources to handle an operation our size, which was great.”

We build the room.We also build the page.
For a premium brand, the customer who walks into the showroom and the one who arrives from an AI answer engine are frequently the same person, a week apart — and she notices when the two don't agree. Pyxl designs and builds Shopify Plus storefronts, then runs the paid media, catalog data, and Klaviyo lifecycle behind them.
Environmental design, packaging, launch events, and field campaigns sit on the same floor as the engineers. The team that specifies the showroom is the team that writes the product schema — that overlap is the whole point.
The full capability inventory ⟶This isn't an adjacent service. For most of this roster, the room is where the brand was earned first — the storefront came after.
Own what it earns. If we build it, we are the ones who have to grow it.
Most agencies do one or the other. Doing both is what makes a growth engine instead of three vendors and a spreadsheet.
Web design & development
Shopify Plus themes built from scratch, replatforms off Magento, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and the unglamorous optimization that follows a launch. Ten to eighteen weeks for most migrations, and the data work is the job — not the design. Headless and composable builds for brands that have outgrown a themed storefront.
- Custom Shopify Plus themes
- Replatform migrations
- Conversion rate optimization
- Webflow and WordPress builds
- Headless and composable architecture
Performance marketing
Paid search and paid social run against a number you agreed before we started, rather than a channel checklist run to justify a retainer. Graded on new-customer cost, because blended return flatters whoever is reporting it.
- Meta and Instagram
- Google Ads and Shopping
- TikTok
- Creative made to be tested, not admired
Email & SMS
The half of growth you actually own. Lifecycle, retention, deliverability, and the editorial calendar that keeps a list worth having when the ad account has a bad month.
- Klaviyo and Attentive
- Editorial calendar planning
- Flows your team can run without calling us
- Analytics implementation
Conversion optimization
The click is not the sale. We test the page, not just the ad — funnel by funnel, against a baseline conversion rate, not a hunch about what looks better.
- A/B and multivariate testing
- Landing page and PDP testing
- Checkout and funnel audits
- Heatmap and session replay analysis
Brand development
A logo is not a brand. Positioning, voice, and a visual system built to survive being handed to five different freelancers over three years — because it will be.
- Brand identity and guidelines
- Naming and positioning
- Packaging and launch systems
- Photography and art direction
AIRO Commerce
Your customer is asking ChatGPT what to buy before ever reaching your site. AIRO Commerce is catalog enrichment and schema work built so the answer engines can actually read and cite your product pages — not just your homepage copy.
- AI visibility and schema audits
- Catalog and PDP enrichment for AI
- AI visibility monitoring across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini
- On-site AI stylist builds
Every build ships with cookie consent, accessibility passes, and privacy compliance handled — not bolted on after a client asks.
Three things we would check first, and you can check them yourself.
None of this needs an agency, and if all three come back clean you have saved yourself a procurement cycle. We publish them because the work that follows is the hard part, and nobody wins that on secrecy.
Four fields, and most themes emit none of them
View source on your best-selling product page and search the JSON-LD for availability at the variant level, priceCurrency, shippingDetails and hasMerchantReturnPolicy. Stock Shopify themes typically carry the first two and neither of the last two. A product with no stated return policy and no shipping detail is routinely left out of a comparison answer, because the model cannot complete the row it is trying to fill.
If your inventory is unique, filters were always the wrong tool
Faceted search assumes many products share attributes. On one-of-one inventory — vintage, antique, consignment, made-to-order — every filter returns one result or none, so the shopper gives up and emails you. The fix is to model the attributes people actually ask in sentences: occasion, room, fit, era, use case. Then a retrieval layer can answer “something for a coastal dining room under $2,000” and a filter set never will.
Before you replatform, audit the feed rather than the theme
Open Google Merchant Center and sort by disapproval reason before anyone touches design. The most common single cause we find is an availability mismatch between the feed and the storefront, and it can silently suppress half a catalog while paid spend keeps running. Fixing the feed is days of work. Discovering it after a migration costs a quarter.
None of it will fix a product nobody wants, or a margin that cannot carry acquisition. It decides whether the people who would have bought from you ever see the thing.
Your catalog now has two readers.
One is the customer you have always shot for. The other is a model answering that question before the shopper ever reaches the site, and it cannot see the photograph. It reads the structure underneath.
Beautiful is still the job. It is no longer the whole job.

Will an AI assistant recommend my products?
Only if it can complete the row it is filling. Assistants compare on attributes — material, fit, occasion, price, shipping and return policy — and a product missing any of them is routinely dropped from the answer rather than ranked lower in it. Stock Shopify themes emit variant availability and price, and typically neither shippingDetails nor hasMerchantReturnPolicy. That is a template fix, not a merchandising one.
How much does a Shopify Plus build cost?
A custom Shopify Plus build typically runs from the mid five figures to low six figures depending on catalog size, number of storefronts, markets and integrations. Migrations from Magento or BigCommerce sit at the higher end because the data work is the job. We scope to a fixed number after reviewing your catalog and integration list.
How long does a Shopify migration take?
Ten to eighteen weeks for most migrations from Magento, WooCommerce or BigCommerce, including data mapping, theme development, integrations and QA. We deliver in phases when a seasonal deadline is fixed, so the storefront is live for the date that matters and the rest lands after.
Should the same agency build our store and run our marketing?
The build team should not be able to blame the growth team for conversion — and the growth team should not be able to blame the build. One team owns the storefront, catalog, acquisition and lifecycle. One team owns the number.
How do we get our products recommended by ChatGPT and other AI assistants?
Shoppers now ask an assistant what to buy before they reach a product page, and the assistant answers from structured data rather than your photography. Getting recommended means complete Product schema across the catalog, attributes an engine can compare on — material, fit, occasion, use case — FAQ content in buyers' own phrasing, and a brand entity the engines can resolve. We baseline where you appear today across all five major engines first.
Do you work with brands that also sell wholesale or in retail?
Yes, and it is common in our roster. Emily McCarthy runs ecommerce, a flagship shoppe and roughly 350 wholesale partners on one brand. The North American Guitar sells a one-of-one inventory across two storefronts on a single backbone. Multi-channel is the normal case, not the exception.
What kind of results have you produced for eCommerce brands?
Every figure we publish carries the client that reported it. Palmetto Bluff: 67x return on ad spend on 58 percent less spend. Emily McCarthy: $220,726 in email and SMS revenue in a single month. Craft Sportswear: 1,021 percent return on catalog ad spend. Penny Linn Designs: 280 percent growth in repeat purchase revenue. We will walk you through the ones closest to your category on a call.
What platforms do you work in?
Shopify and Shopify Plus for the storefront, Klaviyo and Attentive for lifecycle, Google and Meta for paid, plus the catalog feeds, analytics and ERP integrations underneath. Fifty-three third-party systems integrated to date.
Seven days, run on your catalog. The same week B2B gets, pointed at products.
A senior strategist takes one category and one product template and builds the working version, while auditing what the engines can currently read of your catalog. You keep all six deliverables whether or not anything follows.
Fixed before the discovery call rather than scoped after it. Three prototype weeks a month, first come.
