Pyxl Partners with Laugh Exchange to Design a New Engaging App

Laugh Exchange launches a next-generation comedy app

On October 3, a funky new startup called Laugh Exchange launched their addictive new app — an interactive comedy platform offering creators and fans a unique way to connect and compete to win real money. Creators submit their 15- to 60-second clips ahead of time in hopes of being featured in the three-times-a-week shows that air live at 8 p.m. ET on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Who wins and how, you ask? The audience has five hours (until 1 a.m. ET) to vote on their favorite clips. At launch, the top creators will split a cash prize (starting at $500/episode) and the top voters split a $300 cash prize. That’s just the beginning since Laugh Exchange plans to grow and vary the prizes as the show gains in popularity.

Pyxl worked with the Laugh Exchange team to strategize on naming concepts, key messaging and branding, as well as to design the app and website.

We also totally get where this app is coming from. So, for you comics out there, forget crossing your fingers and hoping to go viral on YouTube. Laugh Exchange created an engaging, niche space for comedians to emerge from by capitalizing on the interactive, live episode app trend that HQ Trivia and Fortnite have made popular. Laugh Exchange helps comedians build an audience and receive compensation for the hard work they put into their craft!
